Kota Kinabalu

We stayed for four days, we ate local food, visited the famous places, searched a little about history and greeted new friends. I also did not miss the opportunity to learn more about the 2013 Lahad Datu Standoff. I asked about this to an old local resident. As we talked about our trip to Kota Kinabalu, I also opened the topic about it. To my surprise, he told us that their resentment in the Philippines was so severe because of the disruption caused by standoff. Due to the sudden rise in the voice of the old man that we talked to, I felt his sentiment, I was slightly nervous but I answered him that he should not be angry with the whole Philippines, he should not be angry with us because we are from the north of the Philippines hahaha and Jamalul Kiram III is from the southern part near Sabah. I also told him that the Philippine Government is against with that act. and we started talking about Jamalul Kiram III. I found other interesting information about him. I’ll tell you some other time because it’s too long, and also slighty out of topic hahaha

We arrived around 1:30 in the morning at Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kota Kinabalu (Kota Kinabalu International Airport) a friend from CS catch us at the airport and brought us to our Hotel.

This is the first International Travel for @Jaztin (second time for @carl) and as expected, a lot of questions from the Philippine Immigration Officer was asked to our friend, and because he answered clearly all the questions, when its our turn at the Immigration Check Point, no more questions was asked to me (Hernel) and Carl. Thanks Jaz! haha

We stayed at Hotel Lucky 11 , the hotel is within the city center. Foods, souvenir shops and malls are accessible, just walking distance. We really love the foods!
